Yoga isn’t just a way to get in your daily fitness fix. In fact, it’s not that at all—rather, it’s a powerful ancient technology that can lead you to more expansive states of consciousness, greater mental clarity, deeper sleep, reduced stress, and more access to your whole self.

In these times, which are accelerated, data-driven, and fast, we need to practice now more than ever the skill of lingering, pausing, and being with ourselves.

As yoga teachers and yoga therapists, we also must continue learning and building our introspective skills. The 10-week Life School Masterclass is an IAYT-approved course which offers this, while also providing CEUs to yoga teachers & therapists.

Work IN, Not OUT

It's likely that you already have plenty of information about how to work out. Care of the Whole Self: Yoga-Inspired Practices for Befriending the Self is a comprehensive guidebook for how to "work in" by cultivating the ability to sit peacefully with yourself.

Care of the Whole Self was written to support humanity in remembering what it means to be fully animal, human, and divine—to embrace, know, and live from all parts of who we are. In it, you’ll discover yoga methodology, trauma-informed neuroscience, evocative poetry, and simple but effective rituals that will give you a solid foundation to build a whole-self-care plan to transform your life and lead you to the lasting peace you deserve!

Maryam Ovissi

Yoga Therapist, Author, Caregiver of Beloved Yoga: A Sanctuary for All

Yoga is a proven process, practice and philosophy that provides tools for the individual to develop a self-care routine that meets them where they are. As a teacher, I am only the guide. This philosophy is the foundation of my approach to wellbeing and has guided me through more than two decades of work in the yoga and health industry.

I am a certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), and a 500-hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT). My personal mission as a teacher of yoga is to provide an opportunity for my students to have access to tools that allow self-healing, self-empowerment, and self-realization.

I founded Beloved Yoga: A Sanctuary for All to share the original teachings of yoga with reverence, integrity, and accessibility.
